TSUNAMI - born 2:33 AM Jan 1, 2006

JOKER x STEEL (F4 pedigree-click here)

SOLD - Congratulations to Cheryl Pierson

He's huge at 87 pounds!  Was trying to stand before he was all the way out and was on his feet at 8 minutes.  Nursing at 14 minutes, hence his name...he arrived in a blur of activity, we weren't prepared for him and he is a force to be reckoned with.  He's all legs, too tall to fit under Joker's belly and hasn't a fearful bone in his belly.  He escaped his stall at 45 minutes old while I was cleaning up the mess.  WOW.  Nice and correct, and he has Jokers face and eyes. (more pictures)  I predicted black blanket filly - Naoma predicted black roan colt (I got the color/pattern and Naoma got the sex, what a team)

GOAT (grin)

SCAR FACE - born 2:45 PM Jan 7, 2006.  TEENY x MAX Guess Naoma and Alec were right!  Alec saved her life because he saw something wrong with Teeny and came and got me.  Her little head was twisted backwards inside the birth canal and she couldn't come out.  I pushed her back in, maneuvered her head around, and she popped out like a grape.  If Alec hadn't seen Teeny in trouble, they probably both would have died because we were on our way out the door to go home for the evening.  Why the name?  She has little white stripes on her face, in the shape of a halter.  And please take note of her lovely blanket and lightning marks on the legs.  Even my goats are Appaloosas! (more pictures) I don't think they're pregnant, Naoma does...we'll see.

RIVENDELL'S SURPRISE - born Jan 15, 2006 4:00 AM

MARBLE x SHARK (F3 pedigree-click here)

SOLD - Congratulations to Becky

Isn't she pretty?  She's a steel color, I believe she may be a blue roan like her Mama when she grows up.  Sweet and pretty, what a nice filly.  I predicted a chestnut roan colt, I was WAY off on this one.

SHOWER - born Jan 24, 2006 5:30 AM

CHEYANNE x STEEL (F3 pedigree-click here)

SOLD - Congratulations to Mary Thimbel

EMAIL DODIE Because my knee is all futzed up, I missed this one.  I knew Chey was in labor last night and I sent Alec over to check on her.  Sneaky Chey held off until after the last check of the evening to pop her out.  Beautiful head, my gosh...in 7 years, this is the prettiest foal Cheyanne has ever had.  LEGGY and TALL.  She's built big boned and has good conformation for running. I predicted a black roan colt, Naoma a chestnut filly.  Between the two of us we got it!

MIRROR - born Feb 9, 2006 9:21 AM

IMAGE x RIVER (Mirror CRHA pedigree-click here)

SOLD - Congratulations to Mary Beth

EMAIL DODIE Oh, this was awesome!  Bonnie and Connie were the delivery staff and Bonnie has never seen a foal born.  What a great day for her!  Well, not only was Image born looking identical to her mother, Prudy...Mirror was born looking identical to her grandmother, which is to say she also looks identical to her mother at birth. Teeny little white spots all over her rump (this is known as a roan blanket) and a couple on her shoulder.  Hard to see in a photo, but she's going to snowflake out, all four hooves are white.predicted roan chestnut filly, I got the sex and pattern correct!

SULLY - born Mar 9, 2006 1:00 PM FOR SALE - $2000

REINA x SHARK (F3 pedigree-click here)

Email Barbara for more pictures and more information.

Well, well, well - strike three for Shark and Reina.  For the third time, they produced a solid foal.  Reina must be suppressing Shark's wonderful color genes.  (grin).  BIG boy, Barbara says all is well and he's as sweet as candy.  BUT!  This is a serious endurance prospect.  As you all know, both Reina and Shark are proven on the endurance trail and Sully's full brother is going to start running next year.  At four months old he shows that long legged, strong rear that Reina has.  And what a lovely color bay he is shedding out to be.

predicting bay near leopard roan colt - Naoma predicting solid chestnut filly.  Little better, I got the sex and color, Naoma got the pattern.

MULE (grin)

CIRROCCO - born Apr 12, 2006 8:21 PM

ANGIE X Hollyfield Marcus (mammoth jack)

SOLD!  Congratulations to Laura

Surprise, surprise, surprise ... who knew?  I thought I was getting a nice 1/2 Arabian Appaloosa foal.  He was a definitely WHAT THE?  Cute as anything, we never had a mule baby before.  Seeing as mules are making their name known in the endurance world, maybe this is Alec's next endurance mount...Alec said he'd like to give it a whirl. (click here for his photo album) Oh, and what a dear bray he has.  Angie wasn't too sure what THAT was all about, but she loves him anyway. predicted bay colt, Naoma predicted bay blanket filly.  Well, I was KINDA right.  More on mules-click here

GOOD FRIDAY - born Apr 14, 2006

JEWEL X SHARK

For sale $2,500

Kathy got a surprise, too!  Jewel foaled almost a month early.  No signs of the pending birth.  Lively colt!  He was born in the field over night and the next morning he wanted nothing to do with Kathy (chuckle). This colt is an endurance prospect to be sure.  He's 1/4 Arabian through his mother and 1/8 Arabian through his sire.  Look at this build at one year old!  Lean and mean.  And he's almost as tall as his grand-dam.  This could be your next endurance medallion winner! predicted bay blanket filly, color and pattern right.

EASTER SUNDAE - born Apr 16, 2006

DUTCH X SHARK (F3 pedigree - click here)

SOLD - Congratulations to Ray Speth

EMAIL DODIE Kathy got another surprise!  Dutch followed her daughter's example and foaled almost a month early.  This filly wants to be  ahlter horse.  Look at the hip on her!  Holy Crow!  Photo here at four months old, she's a tank.  Her dam was successful in the halter ring, I suspect she will be, too. predicted a filly, didn't know color or pattern, Naoma predicting black roan colt

THUNDER - born Apr 16, 2006

KRISTI X SHARK

EMAIL PEGGY Another Easter Sunday baby...Waiting on photos.  Peggy tells me the colt has no color, but I want to see if he has mottling, sclera or striped hooves.  We all know about Shark's "surprise" coloration later when the foal sheds out. didn't have a prediction on this one.

SYBIL X GUS

SOLD - Congratulations to Aramore

AWB, ApSHA

MAGIC - born May 24, 2006

NECHA X SHARK [PEDIGREE]

SOLD - Congratulations to Lori Rhoades

EMAIL DODIE Uh oh...  I went home after Sybil foaled and then Necha decided to have her twins.  Yep, twins.  Unfortunately, the larger foal (a splash blanket colt) was dead in his sack.  The smaller foal pictured here is very lively and doing well.  She is a spunky little thing and she looks like she has all characteristics, so she may roan out. predicted bay roan colt, and she did have one, but not the one that lived

ApHC, CRHA

MARGARETE - born June 24, 2006 FOR SALE $1800

SCARLOTTE X RIVER

ApHC, CRHA

MAJOR - born June 24, 2006

SUSIE X RIVER

SOLD - Congratulations to Cliff & Kim Hunter

Just as pretty as his sister from last year, this colt has some style!  Registered ApHC Major Blackstone, he's eligible for CRHA and ApSHA as well. Update, Major developed a muscle disorder and had to be put down in summer 2007.  We're all very sad for Kim.  predicted bay blanket colt, and I was right (whew)!

The blanket patterns are remarkable this year.  We were blessed with color.

TWHBEA

TWISTER - born July 10, 2006 FOR SALE $2500

BEE-BEE x TZAR

EMAIL DODIE Well, we prayed and prayed for an amber champagne colt to replace Tzar, but turns out Tzar only ever made fillies before his untimely demise.  She is even prettier than Zephyr, just didn't get that cool Champagne color.  Nicely gaited, excellent conformation.  She's a lovely filly.  predicted chestnut filly (right again)

ApHC

BLIZZARD - born August 12, 2006

EMILY x SHARK [PEDIGREE] [Photo Album]

SOLD - Congratulations to Heather

EMAIL DODIE  Here he is ... after 14 years of waiting, Shark has produced for me another son that is stallion and endurance quality to replace him in his old age.  Holy crow, now how do I make this decision?  Leggy, lean, was standing and nursing in under 30 minutes, is bright and alert...and very very pretty!  Whoo hoo. You can buy him, but only until I get off the fence and pull him from the sales listing. predicted bay roan colt (and right again)
