Dodie is a professionally trained
small animal
groomer and has been grooming for many years. She has extended the services to include ANY PET as
she owns her own personal zoo and is willing to share her experience and
skills with exotic pets. (Many of her clients include caged animals
like ferrets, guinea pigs and rabbits.)
She chose to go mobile due to the overwhelming number of people who requested it, especially among our senior Pennsylvanians who aren't as "mobile" as they used to be. She loves cats and has found many groomers in the area don't groom cats. She enjoys grooming cats and this has led to her reputation as "The Cat Lady".
Her favorite part of any day is the end result of a difficult grooming, watching as the ugly duckling emerges into a beautiful swan. Check out the testimonials page.
Dodie is also a certified farrier, as well as an equine trainer and instructor, and has worked with horses in a professional capacity since 1982.
AREAS SERVICED: All of Lehigh and Berks counties. We have clients as far east as Phillipsburg, NJ ... as far north as Hazelton, PA ... as far south as Lansdale, PA ... as far west as Harrisburg, PA. We will travel outside of Lehigh and Berks for 5 or more pets scheduled together for grooming, so gather together your neighbors and make an appointment!
The services we offer are mobile. We come to you and groom your companion in the comfort of their home environment. This is less stressful to your companion, less stressful to your time schedule and allows you a unique look into our lives as groomers. We are not a curbside groomer in a van. We groom in your home (or in your garage, or on your deck or in your backyard) and require from you a sink or tub in which to bathe your companion. We bring our own tools and supplies and will require a power outlet to plug in our grooming table. We clean up and remove all hair and nail clippings from sink/tub and floor so the allergens contained in those clippings are not left in your home.
MOBILE HOURS: 9:00 AM until 10:30 PM - your schedule is our schedule!
We offer salon appointments. You can bring your pet to us for the day and we'll have him/her all spiffy and beautiful when you pick up in the evening. Or, for a small fee, we will pick up your pet before you leave for work and bring him/her home at the time specified by you.
