Podium Communication Woes

PODIUM CLAIMS TO HAVE A LIFETIME WARRANTY ON THEIR TREES.
MY PODIUM BROKE (click images to enlarge)
. . . .
Below is my Facebook Messenger conversation with Ellen Rapp Olson,
the Podium Representative for the United States.

(ME) Are you still the Podium Rep? Trees have a life time warranty?
 .
 .
(ME) 16″ tree .. how do I go about making my claim?
 .
 .
(ME) Mine has this leather stuff glued to the front, And I have this leather cover. So I guess I need the leather glued to the front as well.  Saddle says 16″ L
 .
 .
(ME) This thing is pop riveted on. Hooks my leather cover on.  And there is leather glued on the stirrup holder.  This came at a bad time. I have no back up saddle for this horse and we were entered in a ride this coming weekend (sob)
 .
.
(ME) Indeed.
.
 .
(ME) Do you have an ETA on getting this tree? I bought a used Podium and stripped the tree so I could have a saddle for my mare (talk about jury rigging .. LOL)
.
.

.
.
(ME) What’s that in American? And is that one with the leather wrap on the pommel? In black?
.
.
(ME) Ok, and how do I pay? Paypal? Credit card?
 .
 .
(ME) Ok. I will paypal when I get in this evening. $152.81
 .
.

(ME) Not sure about this PayPal … got a message this morning that my payment was not “picked up” . I am going to cancel that one and try again.   Sent a second time, cancelled the first payment.  Sent $160 to cover PayPal fees under pay for product/service.  Shipping address: DODIE SABLE, 593 Old Route 22, Lenhartsville, PA 19534
 .
 .
(ME) Uhm … please review my photos. You may not be understanding … the leather is very thin and is glued to the tree over the pommel and on the leather slots. I’m thinking that is not something that can ship separated. It’s part of the tree. Maybe you were charging me for something else?  If so, we need to refund that back
.
.
(ME) That glued leather is the only thing holding the broken piece on … LOL
 .
.
(ME) And yes, I do not want to screw it uo, please have them do it  GOOD GLUE!
 .
 .
 .
(ME) Do we have an ETA for that tree yet?
 .
.
(ME) Yep, just wondering if you had an ETA
 .
 .
 .
(ME) Checking in, I really miss my saddle
 .
 .

.

No idea why I don’t have tracking

.
(ME) I was wondering about it.
 .
.

.
(ME) So what do you know today?  Did it ship?
 .
 .
(ME) K
 .
 .

.
(ME) Oh my
.
 .
.
(ME) What’s the news Ellen? Will they be shipping this tree or not?
 .
.
(ME) Ok, so then, they didn’t have one in stock that the sent to the crafter to have the leather put on. And it wasn’t ready to ship but then they had a flood
 .
 .
 .
 (my latest response)
  1. Sept 17 – messaged you the tree broke
  2. Sept 30 – you gave me price and said “they have one in stock”
  3. Oct 2 – tree going to craftsman to have leather glued on
  4. Oct 15 – it’s all in the works at the craftsman
  5. Nov 4 – “she sent a message, shipping tomorrow”
  6. Nov 19 – waiting on the craftsman
  7. Nov 29 – Well the 16 trees are still on backorder.
  8. WTF?

.

(ME) You never mentioned backorder once, and mentioned shipping three times.

.

.
(ME) You said the exact opposite to me…. and I quote: “Haha… sounds good …. I’ll have her ship the tree out ASAP…. the leather cover may need to be made … or would you prefer to ship together”  I am a little frustrated as you have promised this to be shipping on three separate occasions and now your story is changing.
 .
.
(ME) Actually, you did. Go back up through the messenger and read it. You told me it would ship in a week. (time passed) Then you told me she told you it was shipping the next day.  Never one time did you mention that the trees were on backorder. In fact, one message you even state that the tree was sent to the craftsman to have the leather glued on and should ship in about a week.
.
AND THINGS GET EVEN BETTER when Gabriella (from Italy) is asked to join this conversation:

(ME) Hello: there is a long thread on this situation, going back to Sept 26th. I wrote a blog on it, which will get published tomorrow. In particular, On Nov 4th Ellen told me that you contacted her regarding this tree and it was shipping Nov 5th (and I quote “Hey! She just sent me a msg saying she was hoping to ship tomorrow…. fingers crossed”)

.
(ME) Does this mean you will reimburse the $160 I already paid for shipping and the leather pommel?
 .
.
(ME) My address is 593 Old Rt 22 / Lenhartsville, PA 19534
.
 .
.
(ME) Okay, lie after lie and I quote Ellen’s message to me on costs. . . “It’s 87.31 American for shipping….. that’s just the tree … the pommel cover is 65.50 additional”  I cannot wait to see what I actually receive. This is shaping up to be a fabulous blog …
 .
 .
(ME) So then, I will NOT be receiving a shipping refund. Okay.  610.587.3626  dodie@newpromisefarms.com
.
(ME) Whatever, I will await the arrival of the tree
 .
 .
(ME) Ellen, there have been no online threats from me. And as a published author of non-fiction, with a blog following of over 200k people, I blog about all kinds of non-fiction adventures. It’s up to the reader to determine if it is negative or positive. I simply said it was going to be fabulous!
.
.
And now I wait for the tree, with the leather pommel and leather stirrup holders to arrive.  I can’t wait.  (So, this thread started on September 17th.  Today is December 2nd)
